BYE BYE MUGABE...GET STRONG ZIMBABWE

Finally, the Zimbabwean dictator, Robert Mugabe finally got ousted in a bloodless palace coup by the Military. It was declared via a city broadcast that Robert Mugabe and Mrs Grace“Next President” Mugabe are safe and fine. And at last, here comes the end of another 37 years of tyranny and dictatorial regime in Africa. Nothing lasts forever.
Emerging from a poor family, Mugabe thrived as a very “secretive and solitary” child. He prefers to read alone and will not socialise. Funding his education was a challenge but he struggled very hard and finally became a teacher. Mugabe has survived a guerrilla warfare, a  two-year imprisonment, chronic political struggles, international trade sanctions and several assassination attempts since he got into politics.

As Mugabe departs politically, it will be wise of us to learn from everything that has happened to Zimbabwe with respect to forced alternation of governments in Africa. Same forced change of governments that finally transformed Ghana into an improved
Ex President Robert Mugabe
democracy has gotten Egypt and Libya into a lot more mess. There are Libyans that will prefer to wake Muammar Gadhafi now. That you are the opposition party does not mean you know how to fix the country. Fixing the country is what the ordinary people need, not quotable quotes.

Despite having the largest Platinum reserves on earth and one of the most enriched Marange diamond fields with over $14bn GDP, none was able to translate into better life for Zimbabweans. 95% of Zimbabweans living in the country are unemployed. 70% of Zimbabweans live below poverty line.28% of children living under age 5 are stunted. In 2008, Zimbabwe's official inflation rate had surged to an alarming 231,000,000%, the world’s worst ever!

Mugabe ruled with Iron fists. In a TV advert, Mugabe’s party ZANU-PF featured images of a car crash with the statement "This is one way to die. Another is to vote Zimbabwean Unity Movement. Don't commit suicide, vote ZANU-PF and live”. Lands collected from white owners by Mugabean force went to ZANU-PF politicians instead of the real owners leading to chronic food shortage as demands failed to meet supply due to low poor skills and exposure of black farmers. Mugabe’s regime also worsened the tourism potentials of Zimbabwe in his 37 years of rule.

While the end of such rule has come, I have concluded that dictators, being who they are, can still be better than one another. When I remember Ghadaffi’s Tripoli, I remember Mubarak and the beauty of Egypt. But till eternity, when I remember Mugabe, the only person I will remember is Mobutu Sese Seko...and lest I forget, Idi Amin Dada. Mugabe did everything to ensure that whatever reforms that will happen in Zimbabwe will be after his death. Even amidst a shattered economy, Zimbabwe’s new constitution waited for Mugabe to pass the baton. And while the whole country waited for his natural exit amidst fear, Mugabe went out  publicly to clear the way for wife Grace Mugabe, to become the next president until this coup stopped him!

While this sounds progressive, the only problem with coups or elections is that the wisdom or foolishness of the first man that takes over government will determine how the destinies of the 16.4 million Zimbabweans will go. If he is foolish, a beast came emerge after him. If he is wise, another South Africa is in the making. Lands and property should be appropriated in Zimbabwe. The Skills of the blacks must be developed to trigger business growth. The new head must create a more enabling business environment. Importation should only be permitted in areas of less comparative advantage and not where the country has the raw materials available. Local content policy must be enforced.

South Africa emerged right from independence. With the executive working with a overhauled and more incorruptible judiciary, corruption can be shut down in Zimbabwe. If the new leader can overcome the lingering problems, the country can emerge in prosperity to be the next best African state to live and work.

God bless Zimbabwe.

INTERNET DATA VERSUS MOBILE AIRTIME

Having known what has  happened to photography and the pressure of print media today, I have being taking my time to wonder at the future of Internet calls as  against regular telephony.

Internet calls purchased as data, even though banned in some countries like China, Iran, Saudi etc are making waves in the world. The calls may be featured differently with voice delivering slowly but its becoming more and more popular. It looks free when its only cheaper, hence people tend to make more calls there.

Regular telephony which includes mobile calls, purchased as airtime, has unique, prompt and more exciting possibilities. Calls may be more more expensive but value is gotten for money. Regular telephony plays vital roles in identity generation and identification.

In this battle of data versus airtime, I feel the future is in data!!

What do you think?

CHAT AWAY YOUR VOTE

I have been laughing since I read of the Rivers state Lawmaker that bought 85 Pieces Of Gionee 5 Phones As Constituency Project been 'dividends of democracy' for his constituents.
'Afterall' he will tell himself 'I am better than those that stole it all and did nothing'.
Lawmakers that spends their constituency allowances on overhauled curriculum, textbooks, construction of schools and scholarships will soon produce academics, QCs, Professors and world class entrepreneurs.
He that spent his money on a garage full of Ferrari, Bentley, Porsche and Range will soon raise constituency members who wants an immediate INEC recall, not minding the strange music, the satanic collabo, the senseless litigations and the acrobatic verbal gymnastics.
Be rest assured. This one that spends his constituency allowance on Gionee phones will soon raise citizens that will be facebooking, snapchatting, whatsapping, instagramming and peppersouping when the ballot box will be stolen.

72ND UN GENERAL ASSEMBLY: THE BATTLE OF NUCLEAR NON-PROLIFERATION

This 72nd United Nations General Assembly has been another interesting time for the world to conference together and discuss issues that affects humanity, human survival, women and children- Climate change, Global warming, Nuclear proliferation and the prevention of wars.
Most notable is it that the whole world agreed that The Fat Young Man of Pyongyang has gone crazier and needs to be tamed. But Iran was another major discussion where there was a split of ideology. America is not willing to join the world in renewing any Nuclear Non proliferation treaty in October 2017 with Iran. America's president Donald Trump insisted that if he's finding it too difficult, he will leave the matter to Congress. French President Macron had to speak against Trump's hard-line on Iran. He feels a cooperating country should be supported. In like manner, Even our own agelong black African dictator Robert Mugabe helped to objectively call kettle black. Now to my point!
Donald Trump promised to 'totally destroy' North Korea calling Kim Jon Un a rocketman. North Korea responded by referring to Trump as being mentally deranged as he tests more ICBMs against UN resolutions! Just yesterday, Iran's president Rouhani launched her own ballistic missile too. Without mincing words I can see clearly that all of them are right.
Israel insists that Iran's stop of Nuclear proliferation will only give it time to expand secretly into a Nuclear monster unstoppable by the whole middle east. That sounds possibly true but just 5 days into UNGA, Iran finally confirmed Israel's words by this launch. No one will ever test her ballistic missiles with common bombs in this forthcoming future. Hence, Did Iran really stop? Yes! Does Israel believe? Yes But did Israel lie about a possible future saddled with designs of nuclear warheads since ballistics are ready now? No! Is Kim Jon Un a rocketman? Yes,he has rockets that have been tested travelling over the territorial space of Japan and dropped in the pacific. Should someone who is testing nuclear weapons without checks be left to live? Yes! Using Clinimetric index to measure psychotic disorders, if Trump, as stated by Kim is truly deranged raised to the power 2 , what will be the clinimetric index of the psychotic disorder of Kim Jon Un? (My doctor friends should calculate and tell me please). So looking at it, everybody is right. The only difference is that, in America, you can only be crazy for 4 years after which you resume in your assylum or prison but in Pyongyang, grandfather, father and son can be mad serially for 6 decades and yet be celebrated as god by 25 million people!
I just wondered when others reacted to America for promising to totally destroy North Korea even when Kim is already testing ICBMs over the territorial space of another country unstoppably. We all sound like we have not heard such before. Yet when Former Iran's president Ahmadijenad unrepentantly promised very publicly to 'wipe Israel off the world map, there were no bitter responses like this thereafter.
Having read Saul Singer's Startup Nation in 2015, i do feel strongly that America but most particularly Israel may have developed a solution to nuclear attacks that is unknown to North Korea and Russia. They may have already concluded that one day, Iran and perhaps North Korea will attack Israel, US, allies and there will be nothing the UN will do than condemn.
Should there be a discovered solution, Rouhani and Kim must just be ready for a whole lot of specialised hiding as the last discoverer might react more virulently! No tunnel hiding please
72nd UN General Assembly

KACHIKWU AND THE CABAL

Dr Kachikwu’s leaked letter to President Muhammadu Buhari makes it the 2nd time this year a Director within a parastatal under a ministry will be resisting a federal minister to the clear knowledge of the public. Earlier this year, we all saw how the DG of NHIS Professor Usman Yusuf refused to proceed on suspension even as an investigative panel of inquiry found him culpable of maladministration and mismanagement of the NHIS. No sooner than Professor Adewole’s letter got to Yusuf that he replied the Minister insisting that “although by virtue of section 47 of the NHIS act, you are empowered to give directives of a general nature to the governing council of the scheme and in the absence of the council, you have the presidential mandate to exercise the powers and functions of the council but since the powers and functions of the council do not include discipline , suspension or removal of the Executive secretary of the scheme from office, the directive in your letter under reference cannot find comfort under the said section and presidential mandate”. Any time I read this response and I remember that the president was ill and abroad at this time of suspension; I always ask “must you shoot yourself because you really want to respond?”
Since no one is ready yet to prosecute Yusuf till today for corrupt practices and mismanagement of NHIS ,Another NNPC GMD Dr Maikanti Baru unknowingly to us all has been doing things his way at the NNPC for over a year now, making most senior appointments without the consent of the board, concluding contracts that surpass $20m without board consent against NNPC legal frameworks to the tune of $25bn, attending only his own preferred meetings amongst other unethical and unprofessional acts. Truly there was no part of Kachikwu’s letter that said Baru conspired to embezzle funds. Kachikwu did not also say that Baru initiated the contracts. His emphasis was that he(Kachikwu) was not carried along in line with official frameworks for such awards and appointments.
But the worst part of the letter is that Baru keeps saying Buhari knows about everything he is doing. Now, that is not a minor allegation. Historically, Buhari has consistently displayed two tendencies during his 2 terms as head of state and president that sharply negates Baru’s position- First, abhorrence of corruption and tolerance of his immediate next line at work. With this background, it is glaring that if truly, these contracts and appointments were really made by Baru with Buhari’s consent against Buhari’s renown antecedents, there are several lessons to learn for a New Nigeria to emerge.
First, when experts without character inevitably occupy a space, superior expertise with character must monitor them for efficiency. Buhari knows no jack anymore about today’s oil and gas industry. Stubbornness is not expertise. Stubbornness does not make anyone regret corruption. Only convictions and imprisonments does.
Second, for every wrong endure with action and body language, you will soon be forced to accept it as it grows into a trend. If no one sanctions and punishes one Usman Yusuf of NHIS for mismanagement and insubordination, One Baru of NNPC will do likewise to his Minister of Petroleum too.
Thirdly people should stop believing that Buhari’s ailment and trip abroad has no impact on the governance of our nation. Even one Senator Marafa did stand up in the senate and stated that the senate president should take over the leadership of the country since the president was on medication abroad and his VP was on official visit outside the country. A senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria did say that in public!
Lastly when I saw the makaruru NNPC board appointment, my first eruption was Aba Kyari again???? Lacunas I conclude in some cases in Nigeria are left deliberately to try permutations. Federal character suddenly became irrelevant for appointing this board. President became Minister for petroleum to okay GMDs works while sidelining Kachikwu . Baru is saying the consent of Kachikwu is not needed on the NNPC board. Presidency is saying that both should stop public altercations without addressing the real issues. Yet, to them, Kachikwu should just sit there and take blames for every fuel scarcity, pipeline vandalisation and insecurity issues in the Niger delta while Baru coordinates the contracts. These things don’t look like errors. They look really well orchestrated and I am beginning to feel the true rays of the Nepotism in Buhari which Junaid Mohammed talked about. With this, It is extremely right that Dr Olisa Agbakoba is suing the Federal Government as the appointments are just a starting point to affirm justice on this letter.
While the letter displayed utmost respect for the office of the president, we need to understand that Buhari’s absence did tolerate inefficiency, insubordination, corruption and nepotism. Until indicted members of the executive are brought to book while the Usmans and Barus get sacked, no one will anymore believe in Buhari’s zeal to fix this country. Zeal does not fight financial crimes in Nigeria. Save the appointments, it is sincerely going to be difficult to indict anyone. Nigeria must deliver herself from cabals and corruption for meaningful development to happen.

UMMI BOLORI: THE ZEAL OF A MOTHER

Take a woman's kids away from her because you are their father and you will see who exactly a mother is.
She faces the wealthiest in a fight!
She fights the untouchable to the last.
She marches to war even if alone!
The absence of her kids keeps her in the valley of loneliness
That worst state of womanhood.
Thinking she will not fight back
Is the most ulterior fallacy
She will confront anyone to have her kids
She will cry to the media to re-experience the warmth.
She will shout at her lawyer to win the battle
No husband let alone ex-husband has the right to keep full custody of the kids
She has same rights as well.
She really does.
If it will take locking up such ex-husbies to get her kids back, then so be it.
Rule of Law! go there and do your job
Nobody has a right to deny a mother custody of her kids
Not even an ex-VP's wife.
God bless Ummi Bolori

NORTH KOREA'S FLAME OF WAR

A few days ago, Kim Yong Un, the Head of the Republic of North Korea, despite several UN sanctions, warnings and South Korean-American military drills going on at Guam, still decided to fire a missile over Japan. The missile flew 2700km over Japan with an altitude of 550km and crashed into the pacific ocean.
North Korea, a country with just 25 million people is defying UN resolutions, ignoring standards of international behaviour and standing tall as a nuclear threat to the world unstoppably. Flying a warhead over the territorial airspace of neighbours is a proof that Kim Yong Un and his international allies are ready to flame all provocations that will ignite this war.

This is a country without freedom of speech, religion, movements or association. Kim is god and North Koreans are the worshippers. Kim is fresh but his citizens are frail. Kim is safe with his wealthy allies but his citizens are soon going to be the victims of dumb obedience to Kim’s communism models.
I do not know how long it will take the US-Japan-South Korean Military alliance to level North Korea's 120,000 sq km to rubbles but the smoothest deal here will be a complete military intelligence on Kim Yong Un and then a single strike on him by The SEALS from space. Mastering his building designs won't be difficult. Spotting him won't be difficult too since he is the only fat man in Pyongyang. There is always the wisest thing to do even when there is no time.

WHO FEARS RESTRUCTURING IN NIGERIA?

The Fears of Restructuring in Nigeria is the major cause of her political instability currently. Infact the Independent people of Biafra IPOB believes that the Nigerian cabal will never allow a restructuring. The country since independence has been held by the agelong greed of a cabal that are grossly aware of how close to justice, equality and national development  Nigeria will be, should it experience restructuring.

I have always believed it will not be easy to manage Nigeria from Abuja. Regional governments will bring dividends of democracy to the people, resolve instrastructure problems and enforce fairness. We were all in this country to see what Former Governor Babatunde Raji Fasola did to Lagos in 8 years of rule. He touched lives and brought dividends of democracy to the people. Lagos has more people than some countries of the world. Hence, her governor could be likened to the president of some countries. The same man upon that sterling performance  was assigned to become Minister for power and works. All hopes were raised and the decision sounded divine. But in 2 years, despite his intense efforts, the dividends of his outstanding work model, for which he is well known,  is yet to reach Nigerians.

Babatunde Raji Fasola's average performance at the federal level is the proof that this system of centralised government is never going to work even if you bring geniuses from Princeton or Pluto. And why will it ever be? We claim to be a federal republic but we are not practising True Federalism. I will have preferred the name Centralised Republic of Nigeria or perhaps a Democratic republic. Calling us a federal republic is a misnomer.

Regions should be called forth to control their resources. Some Petrodollars might still be spent on Abuja as the FCT but the bulk of it should be used for fixing Eket, Ahoada and Warri. The burden on the center is too much to solve the problems of the country on a scientific scale. This is a country of 170m people for God's sake and Nigerians want a government that knows their salaries, their qualifications, their capacities and their needs.

But really when I hear of anyone opposing restructuring in Nigeria, My questions are always thus: Who is he? How old is he? How long has he been in government? Where do his kids live in Nigeria? Or are they abroad? Did they school in Nigeria? Sometimes we need to see their homes where water and lights do not blink. Their posh cars rest on terraces  hence they are not aware of bad roads. Their kids graduated from Yale so they do not understand ASUU strikes. The money he is spending was the one diverted dur
ing the military era so no EFCC is coming at him for now. He is yet to touch the ones freshly stolen.

Nigeria will never survive with clueless  leaders who after taking to their coffers what their kids will eat and live on till 2099 come on air to shut down people clamoring for restructuring. Restructuring is the escape pathway from breaking apart. The people clamoring for restructuring  in Nigeria are not the greedy ones. And the greedy ones are not the ones trying to break the country apart currently. Infact the greedy enemies of the country are the ones that have stared at the problems of the country for decades, changing political portfolios without permanently addressing the agelong problems of the country.  Those are the very people that want to break the country. They are the very greedy ones to be sued for treason.

AS BUHARI RETURNS.......

Finally President Buhari arrives

Well I am happy that the president of my country is back. I did not fast for him to get well but a National Fast was declared for the president of my country somewhere across the Savannah. Several of us also prayed for him here. And I am glad that today, he is back , recuperating and will soon bounce back fully. Whether he was on chemotherapy or monitored in an ICU, what matters most is that the president is back. Thank God!

In the last 6 months, VP Osinbajo has done so well on the economy shooting down high exchange rates, triggering Nigerian agro exports and even exports of Nigeria-made cars to Mali. When he confronted corruption, corruption confronted him, harassed him, bullied and shouted him down.  Power outage did not even notice if he is in charge. He was called names by a system that was not sure of how to impeach him since he was not a substantive president and the substantive is also ill.

There is nothing to tell the president. There are only things we should remind him.

Firstly, President Muhammadu Buhari is just 20 months away from another presidential elections! There is still no electricity for all. Unemployment has not disappeared. Boko Haram is still terrorizing. There are still extremely fewer people to say NO to corruption on the Nigerian Bench. Healthcare is still so poor that the president cannot even risk his treatment at any Nigerian hospital.

Secondly, the president should keep in mind that political gladiators even  within the APC are gathering momentum for 2019 presidential elections. They have no time to waste! They have seen how he refused to remove Ibrahim Magu who is a critical thorn in the flesh of Nigeria’s political elite and has caused more convictions than any EFCC Head. And since Buhari has promised  never to remove Magu as long as he remains president, the best thing to do is to remove Buhari himself.

Finally, because there is no time, Buhari should go back to the original plans he had before becoming president. His wife has made us know on BBC that he did deviate for new alliances at a time. Today,  The APC is not executing fully her original plans for which we voted massively for her in 2015. The party cannot even speak with one voice anymore.  Even as he came in over the weekend, appointees made upon his concurrence are resisted from even acting at their new appointments until after confirmation by the Nigerian Senate. The gameplan is to while away time till another election shows up when he will never have time to push any anti-corruption cause.

Buhari should just finish this broadcast fast and fight corruption with simple orders. If they bring 32 SANs to court, the FG should bring 70 to fight the corrupt forces of the Nigerian Elite. He must also begin to work at juggling for a better bench. His edge right now is that with his health condition, attempts to impeach him will unfailingly lead to protests, riots and terrible war against the cabal that has hijacked the country for more than 50 years. Things we failed to do is the biggest regret we can ever have. The time to act is now.

NORTH KOREA: WHO WANTS THIS WAR?

Last Friday, North Korea finally did test her Intercontinental ballistic missile, the ICBM. It did travel 3700km high and according to experts, it is very capable of hitting Chicago, Denver and Los Angeles! Kim Jong Un called the launch a “grave warning” to the United states. And in less than 48 hours in response to this threat, 2 American supersonic bombers flanked by war-ready south Korean and Japanese Fighter jets took off from the Andersen Air Force Base in Guam and carried out a low pass over the Osan Air base near Seoul and returned to base. While America was getting set for offence from Guam, the US Missile Defense Agency also again successfully tested for action her Terminal High Altitude Area Defense System, THAAD in Alaska less than 24 hours after Pyongyang tested her ICBM!
Kim Jong Un

General Terrence J O’Shaughnessy of the Pacific Air Forces has stated amidst these war preps that North Korea is the “most urgent threat to regional stability” and that the US Army is ready to “respond with rapid, lethal and overwhelming force at a time and place of choosing". All these are in response to the ICBM tested by North Korea 2 days ago.
I have followed Kim Jong Un all through these missile tests from short-range, medium range and long range tests which generated so much condemnation from the entire power blocs of the world except Russia. And when I finally heard “Intercontinental”, I was compelled to take a deeeep breath. For any other test that Kim Jong Un decides to execute after last Friday, be rest assured oh world that a war has commenced that would be lethal, heartless and exterminating. The UNSC knows that already.
While I continue to wait for the ballistic missile that will bomb poverty, insecurity and corruption in Africa and particularly Nigeria, can somebody help me ask this 36 years old North Korean president what he has chosen to derive from this? What makes him believe that South Korea must be reunited with the North? And why should a country from the Korean peninsula be planning to fight US allies all at the same time? Iran, Cuba and Venezuela has hated America far more than Kim Jong Un had done since he was born, yet none has ever attempted to tow this path. The attitude of the world should determine the style of offence. But this is not clear to Pyongyang .
North Korea is threatening to fight
America is loading for war
South Korea is giving her jets
Japan is giving her base
Israel is leading for Trump
China is watching from home
Russia is earning with smiles
And Vietnam is shaking her head
May this war never start…..but if it ever does, please lock Ghadaffi’s tunnels. Kim might try to hide in there. That is if there will be tunnels left! In conclusion, any ally that wins this war will lead Asia one day. Someone should please tell China that!

THE FG MUST SUPPORT NIGERIAN MANUFACTURERS

While I appreciate Yari Abdulsalam for this commendable feat of supporting Innoson in exporting Nigeria-made ( not locally made cars pls) cars to Mali, the Federal Government of Nigeria should know that it has not done enough internal patronage to support Innoson.
Its touching that Mali believes in Nigeria more than Nigeria believes in herself.
The Nigerian government goes all over the world looking for foreign investment when her exportable potentials are grossly under-explored. What we are looking for is right under our nose. If its true that you need 9m people to produce 60m cars, the meaning is that getting the 14 million cars plying Nigerian roads manufactured in Nigeria will provide 2.1m jobs!
It is also worrisome to see Innoson cars being called 'locally-made' instead of 'Nigeria-made'! When I was growing up, the opposite of the word “original” was “china”. But today, you have to consider that country called China to make real profit in most enterprise. One thing is clear about that country. China believes in her people. If you don’t believe in your citizens, why should foreigners believe in them?
Innoson's production line is better than that of some companies that bring automobiles into this country and call them imported as if imported cars are made in heaven and can never crash. No country attains high quality production in a day.
With NADDC's confirmation that Nigeria has an auto-production capacity of 384000 cars annually, we, as a country just have to believe in ourselves, celebrate our successes and consume our products. This is a lofty feat and I say God bless Yari, God bless Innoson and God bless Nigeria

WHAT KOGI WANTS

So the electorate of Kogi West Senatorial district was finally able to generate 52.3% of voters signatures to recall her senator, Dino Melaye due to low qualityrepresentation. So Kogi state Indigenes, a people Dino painted their illiteracy in the senate as if they still walk naked, do not only read the constitution, they went further to exercise their fundamental rights by carrying out their civic responsibilities via a constitutional recall. They weren’t making noises on the pages of any newspapers! They know they caused it and they want to fix it!
Kogi people have proved to all of us that a dead wristwatch is better than imported handcuffs. Rather than ignore town hall meetings, constituency projects and decorum to sing songs fighting an invisible 'Satanic Collabo', Kogi people are saying that Dino should stop telling “his truth” and come home. He does not need to die!!! They know they cannot serve him Ajekuiya but they can bring him home. That shameless song will continue to be the height of Dino Melaye’s stupidity as a senator. He was simply telling the world he is in a taskless Senate.
Quickly again, before anyone will use one lie to “bobo” us, we need to all know the law. Having generated more than 50% of the voters for this recall, Section 69 of the constitution needs to be re-emphasised.
It states that (1) A member of the Senate or of the House of Representatives may be recalled as such a member if—
(a) there is presented to the Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission a petition in that behalf signed by more than one-half of the persons registered to vote in that member’s constituency alleging their loss of confidence in that member; and
(b) the petition is thereafter in a referendum conducted by the Independent National Electoral Commission within 90 days of the date of receipt of the petition, approved by a simple majority of the votes of the persons registered to vote in that member’s constituency.
With the word “referendum” in the section B of this recall law, I do not see Dino Melaye coming home soon except the executive protects INEC. Expect the worst manipulation of this INEC referendum. The constitution says it must not take more than 90 says but expect it to take 2 years. Even if takes 90 days, expect a strange ruling that silences the constitution. Expect another 32 SANs in court in defence of Dino. In the next 90 days, senators will speak in favour of Melaye in the hallowed chamber. Expect INEC to be sued soon! Expect another forged assassination attempt. Expect false alarm. Expect his messianic cries on the floors of the senate. Its an interesting country where wealthy politicians stand on top of the law to intimidate the innocent with everything that belongs to them. And there is no one to report to. He once said in a phone call-“we are the power!”
All should expect new sentimental speeches again and if possible a new music. Nobody has talked yet about suing him. But be sure of the Dino Way. He will soon tell us how Cornelius Olowo who led the recall delegation to INEC is Governor Yahaya Bello’s relative. Expect his emotional and sentimental speeches in favour of helpless salary earners. This chicken will do anything and I mean anything so as not to come home to roost!
Dino likes to always tell “his truth” and die!!! He has died several times in the hallowed chamber and i keep wondering who made him a messiah. We shall see if INEC will tell The Truth or shut down the electoral wishes of 188,588 Kogi indigenes. The time of INEC starts now.

BIAFRA :THE TRUTHS AND THE REALITIES

The desire of the Ibos as stated by Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB to part ways with Nigeria interests me for several reasons. After all, The Ibos have since the civil war lived by mending with the Nigerian state.  Lives were lost. Rich people became average and poor while loss of properties was also colossal. This is not to mention the imminent losses they suffered with other southerners in the northern part of this country.

First, The Ibo people of south eastern Nigeria are undeniably one of the most entrepreneurial people on the West African coast. They stick to the age-long native business school of one-on-one mentoring and in 6 years of learning under an “oga” or boss, an apprentice is released with funding by the same oga to go into the business world and prosper without rivalry. That is not something easy for the people from my own part of this country. This is an economicallliberating culture that needs no government to work!

Second, the drive of the Ibo businessman for sales, new markets, international business and expansion is limitless. In the world of business, this drive compels innovation so forcefully that the Ibo man is always expanding his business. He will start that business in just one shop but in 10 short years, he has bought the mall!  He will strike deals with Chinese entrepreneurs to make same products even if it will be manufactured in Lagos. Do you know that if Biafra was a republic, Innosson will be an official vehicle there? In the world where price matters for the more populated low income earners, you may have a second thought before importing some kind of clothes to Aba.

This desired secession is also supported by the international law that believes that you cannot force people to live together. If some set of people feels they do not want to stay with a particular set of people, they should have the opportunity of a referendum to stay away. The Ibos are not asking for any oil that is not on their own soil. They are not asking for any body’s cocoa, steel or groundnuts. They are asking to just be on their own and do their things their way!

However there are many other variables that the Ibo man must consider before secession. The first thing I ask is if there is ever a referendum conducted by Ibos that informed this  decision since 80% of the real need for this cause boils down to the  same national issues that affect other tribes too: corruption, refusal to practise true federalism, religious and ethnic bigotry etc . The more interesting one being referred to always is the impacts of the civil war on the Biafran people.

Honestly, I see no reason why anyone should be stopped from creating a new nation. However, full truths must be told about the past. The present problems responsible for agitation must be fully analysed and the consequence of every projected solution must be dispassionately weighed.

The truth is All is fair in war and so will it continue to be. There are still minority tribes that still carry the bitterness of killings by the Biafran army. Some minority Nigerians were even buried alive by Biafran soldiers! So the story of victimization of the Biafran people may have another side which some may not fully know.

The south south states pulled away from the Biafran Nation during the civil war. And Just recently too, Kogi had to publicly warn the IPOB leader, Nnamdi Kanu not to ever again add Kogi state when designing his Biafran Map. There are also several minorities within this Biafran geographical location who are not willing to be part of the Biafran nation while still living on their native lands within the map.

Segregation and marginalization issues are national issues in many countries too. Even before creation, there are minorities who can see through the spectacles of the Biafran map. They know quite well that they will be in for another round of marginalization should they join Biafra. Majority will continue to carry the vote and since they will still be minority, they know quite well that they will never have a say.

The challenges of Nigeria today does not exclude Ibo politicians who are also part of the corrupt political class causing problems in this country. There are state governors in the east today who are extremely corrupt and cannot account for the federal allocation they have been receiving. Yet the wherewithal and wealth to perpetuate themselves in power will still be available in the new Biafran republic. All they need to do is to keep their money in dollars.

Also, I do not see Ibos willing to leave Lagos and Port Harcourt in the nearest future. Ibos got so deep in Lagos to the point that, today you need to consider them to win governorship elections in that state. Infact, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu started the idea of appointing Ibo commissioners in Lagos. As a result, I believe so strongly that the Ibos  clamouring for Biafra may be different from these Lagos entrepreneurs.

Should Biafra succeed, Ibos should not expect a patting at the back from her old Nigerian neighbours . Amidst the current agitation, Northern youths are already telling Ibos to leave the North within 90 days. Kogi and Benue are saying NO to Biafra while Niger Delta has told Kanu’s Biafra to continue her fight alone. Hence what used to be a secession threat is fast turning into bluff-calling.

The entrepreneurial spirit also, that makes the Ibo man work hard at expanding his business  may not be highly celebrated by other new republics. Expect the Yoruba to enact laws that will produce newer Adenugas, Otudekos etc. as the most accommodating will become the most blessed. Such  possible legal and forceful exodus from Lagos, southwest and other parts of Nigeria will be modeled and considered as new business opportunities in markets Ibos once conquered.  And whatever Lagos does, All southwest states will copy! Please keep in mind that Lagos will not feel this much as the population of Lagos is led by south-westerners and not Ibos.

The Ibo man in his ever evolving spirit may end up finding new markets even though that may not be in the nearest decade if Biafra succeeds. He may still have some losses too as the choicest of her Lagos and Port Harcourt properties may be sold at flat prices. But there are few cities outside North Africa that consumes in a week what Lagos consumes in a day! Ibos will miss that!
 `
Within the republic of Biafra, The Ibos may be compelled to learn how to accept new peoples. The idea of families refusing to sell lands to specific tribes in some parts of the east will have to stop. Large populations are needed for businesses to succeed and large populations are needed to grow large consumptions, manufacturing and sales. Trying to argue that the Ibo businessman does not matter in this secession wish will be a toxic lie. I do not think the Ibo businessman wants what the Ibo politician wants. I don’t think so!

Until corruption and injustice is tackled in this country, there will be no meaning progress. With both, true leaders will always find it difficult to emerge. Finally, True Federalism will bring power closer to the people, trickle down the dividends of democracy faster to the ordinary Nigerian,  help reallocate resources to the deserving peoples and keep Nigeria at peace with herself.

AJEKUIYA VERSUS SAHARA REPORTERS

This is another audio recording gotten by Sahara Reporters between Senator Dino Melaye and son of a former Kogi state Governor on fresh conspiracies against some persons in Kogi state. There are lots to worry about in Nigeria. 'Between me and you', I feel that Sahara Reporters is extremely mad with  Senator Dino Melaye over that 'Ajekuiyanioje' song. It has raised the tempo of everything to the point that raw evidences are roaming the streets against Melaye and it is not ending yet.We are not even through with the Election Tribunal issue before this one surfaced.

'Systematic' corruption, implication and conspiracy rules definitely when 'we are the power'. Truth will no more make sense when there is no one to say NO to a liar. A country filled with lazy, corrupt yesmen as law enforcement agents, criminal cabals ,evil minded oligarchies and weakwilled executive will always produce a revolution. Revolution is the baby of agelong injustice.Nothing will happen after this video broadcast.  Or what are you thinking?

OLD RELATIONSHIPS GO NEUTRAL ATIMES

The picture below shows 2 great men in Nigeria, former President Olusegun Obasanjo and Undeclared Nigerian President-Elect, Moshood Kashimawo Olawale Abiola smiling at each other at an occasion. It is interesting to note that Abiola and Obasanjo have known each other since 1951 at Baptist Boys High School Abeokuta, Ogun state.
Meaning that preceding the 1993 elections,  Abiola and Obasanjo have known each other for more than 40 years. Not only were they age mates but both showed very sterling leadership qualities and brilliance to qualify as editorial board members of the school’s Trumpeters magazine.
The same deputy editor, Olusegun Obasanjo turned out to become the 2 time president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria while MKO Abiola emerged to become an international businessman and politician. Despite being in same elitist class for years, I do feel that the agelong relationship never reached it full potentials.

Abiola and Obasanjo
This tells us that wisdom to handle relationships and take critical decisions is critical for self-survival. What is in the future of relationships is more than what has happened previously. Address matters scientifically and steady your relationships. Never under-estimate anyone. Do your best to stay right and follow peace with all men.

NEW SERIES COMING!: READ AND EVOLVE

I will be writing short reflections on Icons I personally admire in the world of arts, politics, creativity and other careers.  The need for this is becoming more and more real because there are many problems in the world and the solution to them should lead to the discovery of self and essence to humanity. Reading is losing to Teeveeing as attention span for text is shortening. This is the reality we have to live with but it might take all the energy to put all the knowledge we need on TV.

The solution to real world problems starts from moving as an individual in the world of knowledge from known to unknown. It is better to know than not to know even though you do not need experiential knowledge to take a decision on everything. Start reading omnivorously and let your reading widen your knowledge of the world while you stay solution driven. On the day such knowledge meets today's world problems with a sound mind, The commotion in such a mind has several mild names- deep thinking, thinking through, brainstorming, analysis etc. The output it produces is what many of us called breakthrough, solution, innovation and achievement...whatever.

As we commence these iconic reflections with short posts, I plead that you join us daily to have a mix of fun and knowledge.

THE KING OF PYONGYANG VERSUS THE KINGS OF ASIA

Now North Korea has released another failed missile today, making it the fourth in less than 3 months, calling the bluff of even the United Nations in this regard. Pyongyang, even though, only tested a medium- range missile but Japan, China, South Korea and the United States all believe he will test long-distance missiles against neighboring countries in the shortest possible time. The one today travelled 71km!
The North Korean President Kim Jong Un through the Korean Peoples Army (KPA) has been receiving strong support from Russia and has promised to go ahead and produce more nuclear missiles that is capable of triggering offences across the Asian region. Although this war may sound far away, the alliance against North Korea is getting stonger daily- with South Korea, China, Japan and the United States forming a powerful ally to support the United Nations resolution against nuclear proliferation.
Now I have no issues with North Korea but the alliance Kim Yong Un is planning to fight this time will never ever go to sleep! It may be a war with a lot of heavy prices on both sides for several reasons. Firstly, Pyongyang currently is fighting The Power bloc of Asia possibly to prove to Chinese leader Xi Jinping that China cannot lead the region. With that class of regional enemy and an American cum UN support, North Korea, historically, must learn how to trust in Russia.
China, Japan and South Korea are all seeing Pyongyang’s nuclear activities as a test of their entire existence. As a result, The alliance against North Korea is also getting stronger daily and so will it continue to be and I won’t be surprised, if 2 days to the war, the military personnel expected to lead North Korea nuclear to war disappears with Kim Yong Un himself (lol) but lets even say he didn’t.
North Korea wants this war upon that Putin-fuelled mindset that America has nuclear facilities too but lies to the world that it is for defense when it is really for offense also. The only thing I am sure of is that America will not leave her decisions of going to war, no matter what ammunition it has, in the hands of a 35 years old, punk hair-styled communist dictator or a crazy, dreaming soldier who wants to turn Africa into a farm. Such serious decisions in America are debated strongly with structure, systems and controls before an action is taken.
With respect to America, Trump has succeeded in taking us away from the senseless publicity enjoyed by so called faceless terrorists-ISIS, Al Qaeda, Al shabaab and Boko Haram. Not that terrorism does not exist currently but you know so well now that your entire country’s citizenry might suffer migration ban for just your own misbehavior. If you need people to kill, go to your own country and kill, not in the United States.
In conclusion, it is high time South Korea and China rises to correct this Russian-fueled monster. Everybody in the Asian bloc has succeeded without communism so he has nothing to say. He can only continue to be the King of Pyongyang not Asia. Kim Yong Un should be told about a Yoruba proverb that says “enitio batiii de oko baba elomii ri lo ma so pe oko baba ohun lo tobi ju” i.e you don’t boast of your father’s farm until you see the farm of other people’s fathers. This war will either unseat Kim Jong Un and terminate North Korean communism or make him the King of Asia over China, Japan and South Korea. I do not know which one is easier.

A DINO MELAYE PROBLEM OR AN INSTITUTIONAL PROBLEM

I stand here today to make a case for Dino Melaye, senator, Kogi West senatorial district and the Head of Senate committee on the Federal Capital Territory on this certificate forgery saga. Not because we are kinsmen (I am Egba abeg) but because institutional blunders, poor record keeping, negligence, corruption and lawlessness are the major reasons why most things termed crime abroad are almost legitimate acts in Nigeria.

I am not sure whether Dino Melaye graduated from ABU, Zaria but I can confirm that he was there. I am not sure if he took another GCE to complement his o-levels but it is glaring that he once failed woefully. I can assure you that Dino Melaye went for NYSC but I am not sure if he was not a deviant one that broke camp rules. However, considering his rascality, it remains very difficult to say there is something that Dino Melaye cannot do.

I really will not worry myself about the status of the qualification of Dino Melaye. It is a non-issue delayed by the Ahmadu Bello University. As soon as ABU speaks, Melaye will either fall from the hallowed chamber of expressive rascality into the familiar elongated judicial process in Nigeria that may or may not land him in prison. You may also hear ABU confirmed him as their former student. So I leave Dino Melaye alone.

My very worries are the structures and the institutions that gave admission to students with names different from what they have on their SSCE results. First, how did ABU give admission to students with names contradicting their o-level results with low documentation?  How did a school that issues  BSC in Geography produce a senator that has a BA from the same school? Are we sure there is no other ABU in Abu Dhabi or Toronto?

Harvard University and London School of Economics were asked questions on Melaye’s qualifications and this was answered in less than 48 hours. May we know why ABU is failing to tell the world the status of the qualifications of Dino Melaye? Why should the world be waiting for the deliberately delayed response of a highly revered institution? This tells us that there may be lot of rumblings going on amidst ABU underdogs or leaders as we speak.

It is this same poor record keeping, corruption and lawlessness that handed over the country to hoodlums and  fraudsters. I remain an ardent lover of ethical disobedience for public good but when criminals find their way to the hallowed chamber, you need not ask questions about why they threaten women, publicize their newly purchased cars or go pose at a Bourdillon signboard. What we need to ask is why an intellectual system should shy away from her ethical responsibility for the public good when the whole world is waiting. Such is the kind of impunity that we have to endure.

Such is the kind of problem you encounter when a full fledged convict who completed his prison terms can come to Nigeria to become a 2-term governor in a leading political party and on completion of his terms, not only is he reckoned with, he is infact celebrated, even with a 170-count charge hanging on his neck as he flies in. Morality and Honesty has turned to stupidity in this country. Materialism and wealth is more important than its source. Hard work to the youth is a time waster.
Such is the kind of impunity you get when a king in Osun State who got thugs to beat up a fellow Oba is shockingly identified also to have served some jail terms in Canada between 2006 and 2007. Such is the kind of impunity you live with when President Olusegun Obasanjo continues to allege that till today, the PDP chieftain Senator Buruji Kashamu dare not enter the State of Illinois. This remains a country where you can change your full names 6 times in 14 years and nothing will happen as we can see in Dino Melaye’s case.
The question is what policy framework is permitting forgers, drug peddlers, fraudsters, corrupt politicians and imprisoned criminals home and abroad to become leaders in Nigeria?
Do Nigerians link change of Identity to criminality at all? Has the law that bans convicts from ruling Nigeria being abolished? What are the unobserved checks necessary for citizens to take leadership positions in Nigeria and why are they not observed? Do the Nigerian Police Force, Nigerian Immigration Service and Nigerian Prisons Service share data with similar organisations globally to make Nigeria a safer place and ensure that criminals do not get into power and positions of leadership? Why should we run a system where Identity Issues do not matter?

While “Melaiye” or “Daniel Jonah” may be good people, we can say confidently that Dino Melaiye, the 2-time senator that we know remains one of the most rascally in the hallowed chamber. While we do not know if Daniel Jonah was the one that stole TV in ABU and was impeached as departmental student union president, we are sure that the Melaye in the senate once took the mace away and had his clothes torn in a brawl within the hallowed chamber. This is the same man that could not stand the arguments of an intelligent woman on the floor of the senate.

And these are the same people that determine the salaries of hardworking apolitical professors, doctors, lawyers and scientists who can fix this nation. Someone who was not certified in character or learning but with forged pieces of paper will join in determining the salaries of professors. As at the first quarter of 2017, more than 500 Nigerian doctors had already written UK postgraduate medical examinations in preparation to run away from this country. It is for this reason that Nigeria has trained over 90,000 doctors with a need of 237,000 but only 39,000 or less work in the country as at today. Others are scattered all over the globe, away from senators that call a short one-week Harvard leadership seminar another university degree.

There is a need to overhaul the entire process of appointing leaders in this country. Criminals should not rule.  If our senators are failing certificate scrutiny, there will definitely be chaos if their tax files are opened. Our institutions must ensure due diligence and proper record keeping. The refusal of a nation to keep records of events and individual identity, maintain order and jail crooks for the production of world class Nigerian leaders  is not just suicidal. It is Self-genocide.

WHO FELL THE DOLLAR?

Whao! The dollar value against the naira fell by almost N100 from 520 to 420 within 3weeks. Did someone shoot it down while it was dancing Azonto on an Iroko tree? Sincerely, these are turnarounds we read only in economic and revolutionary books.

Im thinking of calling Prophet Elisha to learn the economic theory. You know he did something close or should i call Osinbajo?
