AS WE ALL CELEBRATE BAYO OGUNLESI

Interesting! Same person that said he will deport some African immigrants just appointed Nigerian-born Adebayo Ogunlesi, who is the chairman of Global Infrastructure Partners as part of his next  US economic advisory team and Think tank. With Character, the only place you can meet a seasoned professional is "Ahead".  I emphasized in a post recently that as much as the US president elect Donald Trump will prefer transactional relationships with African nations, seasoned professionals that can contribute more to the US dining table will continue to matter.

America will be driven in the next dispensation by problem solvers, economy growers and nation developers. America will re-negotiate everything that does not make any gainful sense. Business sense will be closer to National sense as long as it does the greatest good to the greatest number in the long term. And everyone that can help the country to thread towards that prosperity height will be tolerated by the American state. At that instance, skin color, gender or culture will be rubbish as long as such professionals do not come in to solve some specific issues while triggering a new set.

Like Former French President Nicholas Sarkozy once said, so is Donald Trump thinking. America also  will not leave her good and godly cultures all for the sake of senseless tolerance at the detriment of itself. For me, that is a simple way of letting common sense prevail.

This line of reasoning is  food for thought for the Nigerian leadership. If America is shopping for fresh problem solvers, sound analysts and critical thinkers, why shouldn't Nigeria be looking for the best problem solvers for her senate instead of recycled party gangs? If America is tired of allowing illegal immigrants such that it is infact planning a one-action plan against her most problematic neighbors, can someone then tell me what right a herdsman should have to move from The Gambia to Benue State with cattle as his visa only to destroy crops of harmless women and kill them if they grumble with recourse  to no human being?

And when one courageous governor summons courage to check illegal herdsmen entries and attacks in his state, some electorate error (not recruitment error this time) tries to ignore him. While Trump is shopping worldwide even to Nigeria for Think tanks, Our country is at the Medina and the Mambilla praying for how to push out corrupt cash tanks that cannot be corrected by the Bible, Quran or any Law.

Something one day, will send such wealthy official outlaws to correctional facilities.

This is the thinking of this new president. Seasoned, deep-thinking, problem-solving professionals is what Nigeria, America and the world is looking for. Are you one?
